Last night, we witnessed an electric moment in Greater Sacramento’s history—the official launch of our regional brand, Be more. Do Greater Sacramento. The energy in the room was undeniable and the response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive. This brand has been two years in the making, and seeing it come to life was a testament to the dedication and passion of our community.
This isn’t just a slogan. It’s a movement that reflects our region’s transformation, our collective ambition and the limitless possibilities for those who call Greater Sacramento home.
Why we launched a regional brand
Spanning from Tahoe to the Central Valley, the Greater Sacramento region is as diverse as its people, landscapes and communities. We are not defined by a single lifestyle or belief system, but by the strength of our differences. Here, success is fueled by collaboration, where innovation thrives through shared ideas and collective growth. This spirit has made us the #1 large California region for employment growth and the #4 region in the U.S. for economic inclusion (Bureau of Labor Statistics, Brookings Metro Monitor).
For years, Greater Sacramento has been a hidden gem—a place full of opportunity, innovation and a thriving economy. Yet, we lacked a unified way to tell our story to the world. That’s why we set out to create our first-ever regional brand: to showcase what makes our region unique and position Greater Sacramento as a top destination to live, work and invest.
This effort wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible leadership of our regional brand Steering Committee, led by Co-Chairs Ryan Spillers (Sacramento Kings) and Wendy Hauteman (VSP Vision). Their vision and commitment, along with the contributions of our board, local leaders, businesses and residents, helped bring this initiative to life.
